Sandrine Lepelletier is primarily interested in what is human. Her works, that resemble towers, houses and even boxes of secrets or tricks, are practically all human heads. Her cera¬mics are the expression of an interior search: how to live a certain kind of solitude when surrounded by people.
The artist infuses humanness in her universe in order to fill-in the voids. In a world where everything must be rebuilt from scratch, recreated, this is a message of hope, a citadel where one can find protection and something reassuring.
