«I’ve been knitting for three and a half hours every evening since 1995. I take half an hour to do one row of 648 stitches. Therefore I can only do 4 to 5 rows each evening, which is about 1 cm. For the experts: my knit is made of petra cotton thread, size 5, with round needles size 2½. My first knit-work is 35 meters long and has been on display at the Musée de l’Art Brut de Lausanne since 2011. My second work is more than 20 meters long to this day and I have the great pleasure of showing it here, for the first time in its current shape», explains Nicole Bayle.
