Gabriela Szilagi was a runway model, a TV show host, a psychology major and a journalist. Her angels are expressions of grief and confusion, mixed with what is al¬most orthodox mysticism. The first one, painted in automatic dictation on the cardboard of a cake box, was a desperate attempt to commit to memory, before it faded away, the final ultrasound image of a lost child. Then, the angel grew, acquired colour and transformed.
